Easy to install sensor – definitely recommend!
It was super simple to install and worked right away – took about 10 minutes, if that. Most of the time, when it comes to devices like this, there is some configuration and troubleshooting. Not the case with this one. I’ve been having issues with my sump clogging every so often, and this was a simple fix. Now, I can be alerted immediately once the water level hits the sensor’s point. I definitely recommend it!

  2. Homer123

    Perfect solution! Simplest thing ever.
Setup only took a few minutes. Installation into my sump pump took even less time. We have a crock that is constantly filling, and a sump failure gone undetected would be horrible in a finished basement. This has to be the simplest device to let you know of any issues, especially while away from home. Just a fantastic product and no fees! The original “alarm” that came “professionally installed” isn’t nearly as nice and functional. Don’t hesitate!!! Grab this so you don’t come home from vacation and find you house became a pool.

    Great product
This is the 2nd My Spool water detector I have used. The last one worked without issue for years. In a new house now and wanted the same protection. It can be finicky to set up the wifi with an Android phone, once it’s setup, your good. Can be set up for email and text notifications. Very simple to installHighly recommend.

  4. Clare R. Rayburn

Good product to detect increasing sump pit water leves – works exactly as described.
What an economical and effective product! My set-up and test worked perfectly (text and e-mail alerts). The only two things that would improve this design are 1) the incorporation of a loud, audible alarm 2) 5G wireless transmitter as opposed to being reliant on household Wifi. During a major rain/thunderstorm, the biggest concern is the power being knocked out and the sump pump/pit potentially overflowing due to lack of household power – in this scenario, this product would not provide an alert because it requires Wifi to send alerts, and Wifi will not work without household power. Still nice to have this product for situations of pump failure or other scenarios to detect high water in your sump pit. Good but not a perfect product in my view.

  5. Taylor Sailors

    Peace of mind
Installation was very easy. It certainly gives me a peace of mind knowing that if the sump pump was to go out for any reason, it is there for a second line defense. It sends a text instantaneously to my cell phone to let me know that there is rising water and we can catch it before the basement is flooded.

  6. Bruce

    Great product
Was easy to set up. Worked with no issues.

  7. John Thompson

    Very nice system
Had a sump pump failure with a different sensor and didn’t get notified of the water rising I decided to do some research for a more reliable alarm system and stumbled on the myspool float alarm system and glad I did.Easy installation and setup with great support when I needed a question answered. Highly recommend it. Love the float option. Got a piece of Velcro to secure it to the pipe. Has a green indicator light to show that it’s working. Has text plus email notifications when there is a failure.

  8. Jay

    works reliable
reliable device. But email alert works for the first email not following emails, the sensor board is too wide to fit into 1.5 inch pipes

  9. Mike M

I purchased this unit on Nov 1, 2023. On Oct 31, 2024, I started receiving false Internet OFF alerts. Tech Support did help me troubleshoot the issue but it seems like the unit is not operating as intended. I was expecting a 1 year warranty and disappointed to find out it’s only a 6 month warranty. Was hoping that they would just replace it free of charge considering it’s only been a year. Disappointing customer service.

  10. Amazona

The first one I got was faulty but the company replaced it no charge right away. It works perfectly well. Super recommended. Easy to install and operate. Great value for money

  11. Julian Gray

This device has been working now for a good few months. We use it to keep an eye on the pond temperature, and to notify if the pond level falls dangerously low. (which would imply a leak in the water circulation). Setup was fairly easy. The temp probe cable was a bit short – but that was of course fixable for a half confident hobbyist. I don’t find the backend software reporting to be as useful as I’d like. But fundamentally I can recommend this, and the support team were very quick to answer my questions. Please note that the water level sensor is binary (Is there water/is there not water). The supplied sensor wasn’t suitable for my needs so I replaced it with a much superior product. A very good little unit – slight room for improvements.

  12. Charles Hitchcock

Device works great, notifications are sent to my email and SMS.Here is how to configure it out of the box.1. Go to MySpool.com and register for an account. An email will be sent to you, confirm it by clicking link2. Dip the water sensor end into water for a couple second (that kicks off the device setup)3. On computer or mobile, open WIFI and connect to the SASensor-####### (# denotes your device ID)4. Open webbrowser such as Chrome, Edge on your computer or mobile and in the address bar, type 10.10.4.15. Configure you 2.4ghz WIFI, click SAVE. NOTE: it will test that wifi and if it doesn’t accept it, you will continue to see a SASensor-###### in your WIFI SSID list. If it accepts your WIFI, that will disappear.6. Log into your MySpool.com portal, click My Devices and you should see your device there now.7. Click on Configure Device, enter your email addresses, phone number and also click Advanced Setting to change notification intervalsKeep in mind, this unit requires your WIFI connection. The sensor device sends regular heartbeats back to the vendors servers with updates on water sensing alerts. If WIFI isn’t working or if the device fails to call back at regular intervals, server marks missed heartbeats and will indicate it accordingly. For best practice, you may wish to have a UPS hooked up to this sensor and to your WIFI modem and router should your environment consider water monitoring a critical requirement (such as server rooms or basements where sump pumps are hooked up)Hope this helps.
