PREVENT COSTLY FLOOD DAMAGE — Protect your home from expensive leaks and floods by installing a Centralite water sensor near water heaters, drain pans, and underneath sinks. The Water Sensor and Water Leak Detector are small, easy to use, and fit almost anywhere. The Centralite water sensor is directly on the ground, and it will notify you when it detects the presence of water.
HOW DOES IT WORK? — The Centralite water sensor can be placed on any non-conductive surface, like granite, glass, brick, or tile. Ideally, look for areas near or under a home’s most common source of water leaks, such as a refrigerator, washing machine, water heater, or toilet. The conductors on the underside of the sensor will alert you at the first indication of excessive moisture or liquid that they encounter so you can address the issue swiftly and avoid costly and devastating water damage.
EASY TO USE — The Centralite water sensor has “pull-to-pair” joining. The device ships with the battery pre-installed, and all that is needed to begin the joining process is to pull out a small plastic tab from the bottom of the device.
COMPATIBLE — The Centralite water sensor is entirely ZigBee HA 1.2 certified and is guaranteed to function with all open ZigBee HA 1.2-certified hubs and devices.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED — With the purchase of any Centralite by Ezlo product, we offer the Ezlo Smart Home for Life Guarantee, including, anywhere access for your system, guaranteed compatibility, the industry’s longest warranty, always up-to-date cloud infrastructure and Real people here to help.

Customers say

Customers find the motion sensor easy to set up and include in their smart home systems. The connectivity receives mixed feedback – while it pairs easily with Wink Hub 2, some report losing connectivity issues. The battery life is concerning, with customers noting it kills batteries within a week. The sensor quality and accuracy receive mixed reviews, with some finding it nice while others consider it horrible, and some reporting false alarms. The temperature sensor’s accuracy is also mixed, with some saying it closely matches thermostat readings while others find it consistently off by 5%. Value for money opinions are divided, with some considering the price worth the peace of mind while others say it’s not worth the cost.

Yes. This is the Motion Sensor your Smart Home needs.
As long as you have Amazon products, this product will fit perfectly in your new smart home. The requirements are simple; Echo Plus or Echo Show Generation 2. Thats it. When initially opening the box and reading the instructions I was skeptical… you “pull out a battery tab and BOOM connected”… welp.. I pulled the tab.. clicked the button on the side till it was blinking blue and low and behold the indicator beeps green for connected. I asked Alexa to discover devices and there it was. No 3rd party app… no $100 hubs… just the most important piece, the echo app. Now to answer a few questions..Can this work with Phillips Hue?A: Yes! But through the Alexa app. It connects to ANY smart bulb, smart plug, or device you can think of using routines. Is this device practical?A: Absolutely. I have been working in smart home since the echo was launched.. this product couldn’t be easier to use. So far I’m in love with it but we will see how long it will last.Do you need a hub to make this work?A: As long as you’re connecting it to a zigbee hub this will connect and work properly. I would highly recommend saving your money and using it towards an Amazon Echo Plus or Echo Show 2. If you are a Google user I would switch over if you are looking for simplicity and completeness. Can this act as a security motion sensor?A: Yeah, the Routines in the Alexa app really open up the different possibilities necessary to turn lights on to even triggering music (or sirens lol) to play when motion is detected. It integrates very well with Amazon Guard and using Routines you can even have it notify you when the motion occurs in real time. Can this give me temperature readings?A: YES! This is an added bonus with this product that I love. Not only that, but you can create routines at certain temperatures in a room! Amazon really thought of everything, I’m truly surprised I just found out about these but I just bought 2 more for my house. Expect me to buy a bunch more in the future to compliment my Nest Thermostat.

    Planned obsolescence, guaranteed to fail.
At first worked pretty well, then quickly started having connection issues. Range was sporadic. Then they started failing at the EXACT same time.. Like completely dead, new batteries do nothing, entirely unresponsive failure. And luckily I noticed one failed right as it did because I was using it to control heat in my greenhouse and I could have lost all my plants overnight to freezing temps. Now I have literally 5 dead motion sensors that are less than 2 years old. Never buying from this company again.

Great motion sensor for home automation
I am using this with a Wink Hub 2. It paired easily and gives me temperature and motion detection. I put this in my garage – my kids leave the garage light on all the time. I am using a GE Z-Wave smart switch for the light switch. The Centralite motion sensor is installed on the wall – now if someone is in the garage, the light comes on automatically. Even better, I created a Wink robot to turn the light off if it doesn’t detect motion within 3 minutes (robot lets you configure the timeout to just about whatever you would like). This works well. The temperature sensor works on the device, but I’m not sure how I will use it yet in my garage. I don’t plan on heating the garage – could have another smart switch that turns a heater on if the temperature falls below a certain threshold I suppose. Might be interesting to use in other places in the house – maybe the basement? For my use, this works great and I will probably by a few more to help with my home automation mission. They are pretty small (1.5″x1.5″ as a guess?) – easy to hide around your house.

    Very inconsistent
Easy to set up, paired with the Alexa app with no issues, and seemed to work well. After the initial time though it only seems to work about 50 percent of the time. Otherwise it keeps saying “device unresponsive”. Needs to be reset (open and close the battery door) to work again for a little while.

No Longer Works. UPDATE: working now
I had purchased one previously, worked fine for months, then suddenly it stopped working. I tried a new battery, but no, not the issue. I removed it from Alexa Devices to try and set it up again but now Alexa cannot find it. I though perhaps it just failed so I purchased a new one. Alexa cannot find the new one either! IMO something is fishy with the built-in ZigBee hub.Phoned tech support at Centralite, they said it should work fine and did not know why it is not connecting. Referred me back to Amazon tech support.Phoned Amazon tech support. Spoke to three different people and was hung up on by one of them. One transferred me to Samsung Smart Things support, WHAT? No, no, no, you obviously don’t know anything about support for this product! I called back again and asked to escalate my issue. Spent another hour on the phone, reset my Echo Show to factory. Still no connection to Alexa Devices. Was told I would receive a callback the next day. No phone call was received as promised.I remain frustrated.UPDATE: 11/7/22 Amazon fixed the ZigBee hub issue so the motion sensor is working again.

Follow instructions and should be trouble free install. Do cover all exposed wire if not fixed in place

Unverschämt kurze Akku Laufzeit bei Verhältnismäßig teuren Batterien!

  8. Deege

Been using it for nine months with SmartThings V2 then V3 hubs. Been working perfectly, and seems to have a very long battery life. Use it for humidity detection to trigger an HVAC fan. Highly recommend this product.

  9. David Harel

Unit works good, but Smartthings loaded a driver that just didn’t work. D/L a better third party driver, now works as expected, but battery way off.
